Production and modeling of radioactive gold nanoparticles in Tehran research reactor

Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2016
Gold has two medically useful radioactive isotopes, 198Au and 199Au, for locally irradiating and killing tumor cells. 198Au radionuclide has been produced through the irradiation of the pure gold via 197Au(n,γ)198Au reaction in the Tehran Research Reactor at a thermal neutron flux of 4.5×1013ncm-2s-1 for the different irradiation times.

Neutronic analysis for Tehran Research Reactor mixed-core

Progress in Nuclear Energy, 2012
In this research, neutronic calculation of current low enriched uranium control fuel elements replacement with high enriched uranium control fuel elements in the reference core of Tehran Research Reactor (TRR) has been investigated and the results of calculations are compared with the TRR neutronic safety criteria.

Calculation of dpa rate in graphite box of Tehran Research Reactor (TRR)

Nuclear Science and Techniques, 2019
Radiation damage is an important factor that must be considered while designing nuclear facilities and nuclear materials. In this study, radiation damage is investigated in graphite, which is used as a neutron reflector in the Tehran Research Reactor (TRR) core. Radiation damage is shown by displacement per atom (dpa) unit.

Conceptual design of prompt gamma neutron activation analysis facility at Tehran Research Reactor for BNCT application

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2019
Since Tehran Research Reactor (TRR) is the only available neutron source, which can be used for Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) in Iran, it is essential to provide an appropriate analysis system at TRR in order to determine  10 B concentration in ...

Design and construction of a thermal neutron beam for BNCT at Tehran Research Reactor

Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2014
An irradiation facility has been designed and constructed at Tehran Research Reactor (TRR) for the treatment of shallow tumors using Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). TRR has a thermal column which is about 3m in length with a wide square cross section of 1.2×1.2m(2). This facility is filled with removable graphite blocks.

A feasibility study of the Tehran research reactor as a neutron source for BNCT

Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2014
Investigation on the use of the Tehran Research Reactor (TRR) as a neutron source for Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) has been performed by calculating and measuring energy spectrum and the spatial distribution of neutrons in all external irradiation facilities, including six beam tubes, thermal column, and the medical room.

A multi-moderator neutron spectrometer for use in BNCT studies of the Tehran research reactor.

Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2021
The Tehran Research Reactor is the only appropriate and available neutron source in Iran for clinical boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). One of the requirements for BNCT is to carefully evaluate and measure the therapeutic neutron beam (epithermal ...
