Advanced Science, EarlyView.Using genetic code expansion, we engineered vascularized human cerebral organoids (vhCOs) with microglia‐like cells and blood‐brain barrier features. vhCOs recapitulate neurovascular interactions, regional identities, and neuronal subtypes resembling the fetal brain.

Randomized preclinical study of machine perfusion in vascularized composite allografts
BJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020 This study was designed to identify the optimum machine perfusion parameters for preservation of limbs before transplantation, and determine whether this was better than cold storage. Normothermic machine perfusion at a pressure of 70 mmHg (NMP‐70) provided superior preservation to cold storage after transplantation.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.Hyperuricemia induces NLRP3 inflammasome signaling activation and downregulation of GPX3 in proximal tubular epithelial cells, leading to oxidative stress–driven VCAM1 upregulation, emergence of pro‐fibrotic proximal tubule cells, macrophage recruitment, and renal fibrosis.
