Effect of Organic Binders on the Film Morphology of Hydrogen‐Terminated Nanodiamonds Used for Electron Extraction in Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 3, 13 February 2026.
Here, we employed organic additives and binders to disperse or passivate hydrogen‐terminated nanodiamonds, thereby addressing the issue of aggregation formation when they are cast on ITO substrate as an electron transport layer in organic solar cells. This results in better film quality, as well as improved device performance and stability.

Emergent Magnetic Structures at the 2D Limit of the Altermagnet MnTe

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 11, 5 February 2026.
Renewed interest in MnTe has emerged due to its intriguing altermagnetism, a newly identified form of magnetism distinct from conventional ferro‐, antiferro‐, or paramagnetism. By combining magnetic X‐ray absorption spectroscopy, scanning tunnelling microscopy, and first‐principles theory, this study reveals that thinning MnTe to the 2D limit ...

The Promise of Solid Lubricants for a Sustainable Future

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 8, 6 February 2026.
Lubricants are vital for technology, saving energy and resources. The industry seeks sustainable solutions beyond fossil fuels. Solid lubricants offer extremely low friction and reduce environmental impact, especially in harsh conditions. Can these solids truly replace liquid lubricants, or are they limited to extreme applications?

Vinylic tellurides as precursors in a stereoselective and convergent route to Z-enynes and Z-trisubstituted enediynes

open access: yesJournal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, 2004
Vinylic tellurides of Z configuration are transformed into higher order Z-vinyl cyanocuprates by transmetallation with higher order lithium dimethyl- or n-butyl(thienyl)cyanocuprates.

Structural Exploration of Zirconium Metal–Organic Frameworks Through Linker Desymmetrization and Modulator Compensation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 10, 17 February 2026.
A linker‐desymmetrization‐modulator‐compensation (LDMC) strategy for constructing structurally diverse Zr‐MOFs is reported. This approach reduces linker symmetry to create defects in Zr‐clusters, which can be compensated for by modulator coordination. Using this approach, we synthesized PCN‐1005 and PCN‐1006, featuring unprecedented Zr‐clusters. In PCN‐
