Abstract The flux of solar system meteoroids is dominated by objects less than 1 mm in diameter whose impact effects play a major role in the space weathering of airless body surfaces. These effects remain poorly characterized with respect to their dependence on the range of impact speeds for meteoroids across the inner solar system.

The present study characterized newt digital flexor tendon regeneration structurally at both micro‐ and nanoscales following complete transection and suggested that the mechanism of tissue regeneration differs between the early phase (until 6 weeks) and the late phase (after 6 weeks). Tendon stubs remained separated for up to 2 weeks after transection,

The euchromatic histone methyltransferase G9a/KMT1C/EHMT-II functions as a corepressor and a coactivator of transcription, depending upon its association with distinct protein complexes. While the mechanisms of G9a-mediated repression are well understood,

ALTERNATIVE METHOD FOR DETERMINING METAL UPTAKE FROM WATER BY ESCHERICHIA COLI K12 CD3 [PDF]
Bacteria are usually applied in biotechnology in areas such as element adsorptions due to extracellular/intracellular accumulation. Electron microscopes and spectrophotometry have shown proximate/accurate methods for observing and detecting these ...

Loading Mode Dependence of Twin‐Twin Boundary Formation in a Textured Magnesium Alloy
The structures of twin‐twin boundaries formed by interactions between twin variants sharing the same or different zone axes in a deformed magnesium alloy are demonstrated. Lattice distortion around complicated interfaces promotes grain refinement in the subsequent thermomechanical process, enhancing the mechanical performance of magnesium alloys ...

A syntactic perspective on rhetorical purpose: The example of if-conditionals in medical editorials [PDF]
This paper provides an in-depth analysis of the functioning of if-conditionals in medical editorials (MEDs). As previous genre-based studies of medical discourse genres have shown, MEDs need to address at least three different types of readers and are ...
