Laboratory and semi-field evaluations on lethal and residual effects of temephos and pyriproxyfen insecticides to control malaria mosquito larvae, Anopheles stephensi Liston [PDF]
Background: The application of insecticides against vector mosquito larvae is a crucial step to control human malaria. Insecticide resistance is a major impediment to vector control strategies.

Differential transcription profiles inAedes aegyptidetoxification genes after temephos selection [PDF]
The mosquito Aedes aegypti is the main vector of Dengue and Yellow Fever flaviviruses. The organophosphate insecticide temephos is a larvicide that is used globally to control Ae. aegypti populations; many of which have in turn evolved resistance. Target

Evaluation of Temephos Formulations Against Aedes taeniorhynchus Larvae
Four commercially available temephos formulations (Abate 4E, Clarke 1% Skeeter Abate [1% SA], Abate 2-BG, and Abate 5-BG) were evaluated against 3rd instars of Aedes taeniorhynchus in laboratory beaker tests and small field test plots. Abate 4E liquid formulation was effective in both the laboratory and plot tests.

ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Mosquitoes of the genus Aedes, including but not limited to Aedes aegypti, are major vectors of arboviruses such as dengue, Zika and other related diseases. Their global expansion is driven by climate change, globalisation, urbanisation and human mobility.
