Susceptibility of Aedes aegypti larvae to temephos and Bacillus thuringiensis var israelensis in integrated control Susceptibilidade de larvas de Aedes aegypti ao tratamento integrado com temephos e Bacillus thuringiensis var israelensis

open access: yesRevista de Saúde Pública, 1991
The susceptibility of field collected Aedes aegypti larvae was evaluated in terms of median lethal time (LT50) and final mortality, when treated with temephos, Bacillus thuringiensis var israelensis as well as mixtures of these two agents.

Laboratory and semi-field evaluations on lethal and residual effects of temephos and pyriproxyfen insecticides to control malaria mosquito larvae, Anopheles stephensi Liston [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Health Sciences and Surveillance System, 2019
Background: The application of insecticides against vector mosquito larvae is a crucial step to control human malaria. Insecticide resistance is a major impediment to vector control strategies.

Differential transcription profiles inAedes aegyptidetoxification genes after temephos selection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The mosquito Aedes aegypti is the main vector of Dengue and Yellow Fever flaviviruses. The organophosphate insecticide temephos is a larvicide that is used globally to control Ae. aegypti populations; many of which have in turn evolved resistance. Target

Assessment of susceptible Culex quinquefasciatus larvae in Indonesia to different insecticides through metabolic enzymes and the histopathological midgut

open access: yesHeliyon, 2022
Filariasis and virus diseases that are transmitted by Culex quinquefasciatus are still a global health problem. Control of mosquito vectors with synthetic insecticides causes resistance to these mosquitoes to insecticides so that detection of ...

Evaluation of Temephos Formulations Against Aedes taeniorhynchus Larvae

open access: yesJournal of the American Mosquito Control Association, 2009
Four commercially available temephos formulations (Abate 4E, Clarke 1% Skeeter Abate [1% SA], Abate 2-BG, and Abate 5-BG) were evaluated against 3rd instars of Aedes taeniorhynchus in laboratory beaker tests and small field test plots. Abate 4E liquid formulation was effective in both the laboratory and plot tests.

Climatic, Socioecological and Environmental Determinants of Aedes spp. Dynamics at the Community Interface: A Systematic Review With Reflections From a One Health Perspective

open access: yesTropical Medicine &International Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Mosquitoes of the genus Aedes, including but not limited to Aedes aegypti, are major vectors of arboviruses such as dengue, Zika and other related diseases. Their global expansion is driven by climate change, globalisation, urbanisation and human mobility.
