Experimental Analysis of the Thermal Performance of a Drying Chamber with Variable-section Configuration for Heat Pump Drying

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2019
The velocity field in the area of heat and mass transfer in a drying chamber of heat pump was investigated experimentally and an optimal configuration was determined.

Temperature Field of Tool Engaged Cutting Zone for Milling of Titanium Alloy with Ball-End Milling

open access: yesMicromachines, 2018
When milling titanium alloy, the cutting temperature has a strong impact on the degree of tool wear and, in turn, tool life and the surface quality of the workpiece.

Wave front aberration compensation of spacecraft telescopes with telescope temperature field adjustment

open access: yesComputer optics, 2017
A technique of wave front aberration compensation for space telescopes is considered. According to the technique introduced, first, point spread functions (PSF) for the range of temperature field parameters and mirrors displacements are calculated. Then,

Finite temperature quantum field theory and gauge field

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1992
Abstract We study the invariance of thermo field dynamics (TFD) for equilibrium systems under local gauge transformations. We show that when restricted to a conveniently constrained subspace of thermal states, TFD has the structure of a gauge theory, the gauge vector field playing the role of the reservoir response to the system dynamics.

Temperature and Field Dependence of Magnetic Domains in La$_{1.2}$Sr$_{1.8}$Mn$_2$O$_7$

open access: yes, 2014
Colossal magnetoresistance and field-induced ferromagnetism are well documented in manganite compounds. Since domain wall resistance contributes to magnetoresistance, data on the temperature and magnetic field dependence of the ferromagnetic domain ...

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Numerical Simulation and Experimental Verification of Temperature Uniformity in a Novel Multi-temperature Thermostat

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2015
In this paper, the temperature uniformity of a self-designed novel multi-temperature thermostat with three chambers was studied. A steady-state three-dimensional numerical model based on one chamber ofthe thermostat was built to simulate its temperature ...

Analysis of temperature field for a surface-mounted and interior permanent magnet synchronous motor adopting magnetic-thermal coupling method

open access: yes, 2018
Aiming at obtaining high power density of surface-mounted and interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (SIPMSM), it is important to accurately calculate the temperature field distribution of SIPMSM, and a magnetic-thermal coupling method is proposed ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
