Multi-Physics Modeling in Curved Surface Laser Cladding: Impact of Scanning Trajectories and Cladding Parameters on Temperature Field and Coating Thickness

open access: yesCrystals
In order to apply laser cladding technology to the complex surface processing of hot-working dies, this study developed a numerical model for curved surface laser cladding along various scanning trajectories under multi-physics coupling considering the ...

Robust metastable skyrmions and their triangular-square lattice-structural transition in a high-temperature chiral magnet

open access: yes, 2016
Skyrmions, topologically-protected nanometric spin vortices, are being investigated extensively in various magnets. Among them, many of structurally-chiral cubic magnets host the triangular-lattice skyrmion crystal (SkX) as the thermodynamic equilibrium ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Temperature Fields Induced by Low Power Focused Ultrasound in Soft Tissues During Gene Therapy. Numerical Predictions and Experimental Results

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2014
The aim of this work is twofold. Firstly, to verify a theoretical model which is capable of predicting temperature fields appearing in soft tissues during their ultrasound treatment.

Dynamic Reconstruction Algorithm of Three-Dimensional Temperature Field Measurement by Acoustic Tomography

open access: yesItalian National Conference on Sensors, 2017
Accuracy and speed of algorithms play an important role in the reconstruction of temperature field measurements by acoustic tomography. Existing algorithms are based on static models which only consider the measurement information.

Thermo-magnetic properties of the strong coupling in the local Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model

open access: yes, 2016
We study the thermo-magnetic properties of the strong coupling constant G and quark mass M entering the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. For this purpose, we compute the quark condensate and compare it to lattice QCD (LQCD) results to extract the behavior of G ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Temperature Field Analysis and Simulation and Optimization of Flow Field in High-low Temperature Test Chamber

open access: yesZhileng xuebao
In this study, a 294 L high-low temperature test chamber with two power batteries in the test area is investigated. The temperature rise and heat dissipation of the batteries in the chamber at a constant temperature of 45 ℃ are simulated through CFD, and

The Entanglement in Anisotropic Heisenberg XYZ Chain with inhomogeneous magnetic field

open access: yes, 2006
The thermal entanglement of a two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg $XYZ$ chain under an inhomogeneous magnetic field b is studied. It is shown that when inhomogeneity is increased to certain value, the entanglement can exhibit a larger revival than that of ...
