A temperature field problem

Journal of engineering physics, 1969
The problem of the temperature field in bodies with heat release and with internal cooling channels in the presence of external heat transfer is solved through the introduction of the concept of sink intensity.

Calculation of temperature fields

Journal of Engineering Physics, 1977
A method is discussed for solving heat-transfer problems in various regions for variable thermophysical characteristics. The method is based on the reduction of boundary-value problems of mathematical physics to infinite systems of linear algebraic equations which can be solved by the reduction method.

Temperature control of a distributed collector field

Solar Energy, 1995
Abstract In this paper an investigation of a temperature control with mass flow manipulation for a distributed field of parabolic trough collectors is described. The dynamics of a collector loop are modelled by a set of nonlinear first-order hyperbolic partial differential equations. A computer model is set up to calculate the closed-loop response of

Finite-temperature field theory with a cutoff

Physical Review D, 1993
We investigate the effect of putting a cutoff on finite-temperature field theory. We then apply this procedure to several currently interesting models, i.e., the Higgs model viewed as an effective low-energy theory, the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model, and the dual superconducting model for the confining region of QCD.

The temperature of a gravitational field

Physics Letters A, 1979
Abstract We study the behavior of a two-level atom, interacting with a quantized field in the vacuum state, when there is an ambient gravitational field. We find that one can, in some approximate way, associate an equivalent temperature with the gravitational field similar to the one associated with an acceleration in flat space time.
