Field and Temperature Dependent Recombination in Anthracene

Applied Optics, 1969
The quantum efficiency of photoconductivity in anthracene depends on electric field and temperature. Analysis of these results strongly suggests that the generation of free holes and electrons can be described by a model in which, following the initial ionization, most electron-hole pairs are thermalized while still bound by their mutual Coulomb field.

Thermal Diffusion in a Sinusoidal Temperature Field

Physical Review Letters, 2004
Separation of liquid mixtures in a thermal gradient, known as the Ludwig-Soret effect or thermal diffusion, is governed by a nonlinear, partial differential equation. It is shown here that the nonlinear differential equation for a binary mixture can be reduced to a Hamiltonian system of equations and that a solution can be obtained for the linear ...

Ways to measure body temperature in the field

Journal of Thermal Biology, 2014
Body temperature (Tb) represents one of the key parameters in ecophysiological studies with focus on energy saving strategies. In this study we therefore comparatively evaluated the usefulness of two types of temperature-sensitive passive transponders (LifeChips and IPTT-300) and one data logger (iButton, DS1922L) mounted onto a collar to measure Tb in

Temperature Field in Material

2004
Deformation of materials is carried out at room temperature and at elevated tempe-ratures. At elevated temperatures, recovery and recrystallization take place, and the flow curves depend strongly on such material parameters as temperature or strain rate.

Calculation of Temperature Field in Power Capacitor

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2015
The operating temperature of a power capacitor has an effect on its service life directly. A 500-kvar power capacitor is taken as the research object. The capacitor fever produced by internal dielectric loss is considered under the running condition of 55 $^{\circ}\hbox{C} $ .

Field and temperature dependent conductivity of syndiotactic polypropylene effect of temperature and electric field

2014 IEEE Electrical Insulation Conference (EIC), 2014
Syndiotactic polypropylene (s-PP) is an extrudable polymer with properties which should make it highly suitable as high voltage cable insulation, including high AC breakdown strength, flexibility and a high melting point. However, for HVDC applications it is important to improve the knowledge of charge transport phenomena which control the field ...

Welding temperature fields

1992
The origin of welding residual stresses and welding distortion is the concentrated heat input, both locally and in terms of time, by which a fusion zone is produced at the welding spot (fusion welding). With the combined action of pressure producing local plastic deformations, heating to just below the melting temperature is also sufficient (pressure ...

String field theory at finite temperature

Physical Review D, 1987
We present a real-time formalism enabling us to compute statistical averages of various quantum string field correlation functions and scattering amplitudes in the context of perturbation theory and functional methods. Second quantization of the string fields is carried out in the path-integral representation.

Modelling of Polymer Crystallization in Temperature Fields

ZAMM, 2002
Summary: This paper is devoted to the mathematical modelling of polymer crystallization processes in a bounded region under heat transfer conditions, i.e. in time-dependent temperature fields. A stochastic model in a general setup is developed based on the theory of marked point processes, and a hybrid model on a macroscopic scale is derived using ...

The modeling of temperature field in the sensor zone

ITI 2008 - 30th International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2008
Temperature fields in the region of the temperature sensors are simulated. Two versions of the sensors placement relative to the heat transfer agent are analyzed. It is established that in the case of sinking the sensor with the bushing into the heat-transfer agent flow the sensor and the part of the surface of the wall of pipe must be covered with ...
