Mechanical Properties and Strain Hardening Behaviour of Magnesium Alloys and Composites

open access: yesCommunications, 2010
Selected magnesium alloys and composites with magnesium alloy matrix were deformed at temperatures between room temperature and 300 °C at constant strain rate. The testing temperature influences significantly the deformation behaviour of the al/loys. The

A Unified Hierarchical Multiscale Fusion Framework for Drug–Target Affinity Prediction: From Benchmark Performance to Nanomolar Inhibitor Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multimodal fusion framework integrating sequence, atomic, and fragment representations captures drug–target interactions across multiple scales. The model delivers strong predictive performance and enables efficient virtual screening. Applied to hematopoietic progenitor kinase 1 (HPK1), it identifies structurally diverse inhibitors with nanomolar ...

Temperature dependence of the deformation behavior and mechanical properties of a Fe–Mn–Al–C low-density steel for cryogenic application

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
The temperature dependence of the deformation behavior and mechanical properties of a Fe–20Mn–6Al-0.6C-0.15Si austenitic low-density steel was studied by tensile test and Charpy impact test at −196 °C, −77 °C and room temperature (RT), followed by ...

Targeting the PHB2–ACSL3 Lipid‐Remodeling Axis Overcomes Cisplatin Resistance by Restoring Ferroptosis in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Platinum‐based chemotherapy resistance remains a major obstacle in gastric cancer (GC) treatment. Through integrated transcriptomic profiling of cisplatin‐resistant xenografts and pharmacogenomic interrogation of the NCI‐60 dataset, we identified Prohibitin‐2 (PHB2) as a previously unrecognized determinant of chemoresistance.

Plastic anisotropy and dislocation trajectory in BCC metals

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Low-temperature plasticity in BCC metals is atypical, marked by an anisotropic elastic limit in violation of the Schmid law. Here, the authors show that these deviations can be quantified from subatomic deviations of the screw dislocation trajectory away

A Magnetic‐Driven Self‐Rotation‐Stabilized Miniature Swimming Robot

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the stable rotational descent of seeds in nature, this study designs a magnetic‐driven self‐rotation‐stabilized miniature swimming robot (MSMSR). Based on a resonance‐driven strategy, the robot exhibits high swimming performance, offering enhanced directional swimming and improved resistance to water flow disturbances compared to existing ...

Disorder Driven Anisotropic Nonlinear Hall Effect in the Kagome Metal YbCo6Ge6 at Room Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The intrinsic structural disorder and short‐range correlated motifs in the kagome metal YbCo6Ge6 constitute the primary mechanism for a robust and anisotropic nonlinear Hall effect (NLHE). This effect is sustained across a wide temperature range, achieving a nonlinear responsivity of up to ∼4.5 × 10−3 m/V at 70 K, higher than known disordered and ...

Complex Approach to the Conversion of Existing Refrigeration Systems to A2L Group Refrigerants

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering
Modern requirements for refrigeration equipment include the cessation of the use of systems with refrigerants that destroy the ozone layer, as well as a gradual reduction in the use of refrigerants with a high impact on global warming.

Evidence of the climb motion of a Shockley partial during glide at room temperature

open access: yesPhilosophical Magazine Letters, 2015
A dissociated dislocation introduced by compression at room temperature in a Ag-15at.%Al alloy was studied comprehensively by the weak-beam method. In addition to the two Shockley partials of the dissociated dislocation, faint contrasts were observed near the Shockley partial with pure edge orientation.

Synthesis‐Dependent Grain Boundary Density Governs Low‐Temperature Lithium Diffusion in Single‐Crystal NCM Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The relationship between synthesis‐dependent crystallization behavior, internal grain‐boundary density, and intrinsic lithium diffusion kinetics in single‐crystal mid‐Ni NCM cathodes is elucidated, providing practical design insights for advanced cathode materials.
