Plasma Flow and Temperature in a Gliding Reactor with Different Electrode Configurations

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2012
This paper deals with the plasma flow shape depending on the electrode form of a gliding discharge plasma-chemical reactor, and with the temperature distribution along the direction of the plasma flow in one specific electrode form. The shape of the electrodes and their mutual position has a significant influence on the design of a gliding discharge ...

The Influence of Warm Rolling Reduction on Microstructure Evolution, Tensile Deformation Mechanism and Mechanical Properties of an Fe-30Mn-4Si-2Al TRIP/TWIP Steel

open access: yesMetals, 2018
The effects of warm rolling reduction ratio ranging from 20% to 55% on microstructure evolution, the tensile deformation mechanism, and the associated mechanical properties of an Fe-30Mn-4Si-2Al TRIP/TWIP steel were studied.

Targeting LDHA Palmitoylation Sensitizes GBM to Chemoradiotherapy via Suppressing Palmitic Acid Induced Glycolytic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal GSCs preferentially uptake palmitic acid, thereby promoting ZDHHC12‐mediated LDHA palmitoylation. This modification enhances LDHA enzymatic activity, drives glycolytic reprogramming, and facilitates exosomal LDHA‐mediated TAM regulation.

Enhanced Endophytic Colonization of Flavobacterium Promotes Plant Resistance to Fusarium Wilt

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A natural microbial consortium employing a cross‐feeding strategy forms a stratified biofilm that promotes endophytic colonization of auxotrophic Flavobacterium. This enhanced colonization activates plant systemic resistance, effectively suppressing Fusarium wilt.

When Mechanics Rewrites Chemistry: Divergent Pathways of Hardening and Softening in High Strength Al‐Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mechanics reshapes chemistry: plastic flow actively governs two divergent, atomic‐scale mechanochemical pathways that tailor strain localization and ductility in high‐strength 7xxx Al alloys. Rather than relying on static structures, deformation dynamically reinforces the solution‐treated state via clustering, yet destabilizes the peak‐aged condition ...

Comparison of the Dislocation Structure of a CrMnN and a CrNi Austenite after Cyclic Deformation

open access: yesMetals, 2019
In the literature, the effects of nitrogen on the strength of austenitic stainless steels as well as on cold deformation are well documented. However, the effect of N on fatigue behaviour is still an open issue, especially when comparing the two alloying

The Effect of Gliding Arc Discharge Low-Temperature Plasma Pretreatment on Blueberry Drying

open access: yesFoods
This study evaluates the effects of gliding arc discharge low-temperature plasma (GAD-LTP) pretreatment on the drying performance and quality attributes of blueberries. Fresh blueberries were pretreated under varying conditions—treatment durations of 6 s, 12 s, and 18 s and power levels of 300 W, 600 W, and 900 W—prior to convective hot air drying at ...

Solvent‐Desorption‐Induced Formation of a Long‐Period Polymorph Yielding a High‐Performance Porphyrin‐Based Organic Semiconductor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Solvent‐desorption‐induced structural transformation of 5,15‐bisphenyl‐tetrabenzoporphyrin generates a long‐period polymorph, in which the π‐stacking direction rotates by 90° between adjacent layers within the crystal while largely retaining crystallographic integrity.

Sliding Ferroelectric Metals: An Emerging Frontier

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This Perspective highlights recent advances in sliding ferroelectric metals, focusing on the coexistence of switchable polarization and metallicity. Representative nonmagnetic and magnetic systems are discussed, together with Berry‐curvature memory, superconducting switching, triply‐coupled switching, magnetoelectric coupling, and electrically ...
