Magnetized Domain Walls in the Deconfined Sakai-Sugimoto Model at Finite Baryon Density [PDF]
The magnetized pure pion gradient ($\mathcal{5}\phi$) phase in the deconfined Sakai-Sugimoto model is explored at zero and finite temperature. We found that the temperature has very small effects on the phase.

Observation of temperature-gradient-induced magnetization
In general, heating increases disorder and leads to the loss of magnetism in condensed matter. Here, the authors demonstrate that a normal metal can be magnetized by applying a temperature gradient during non-uniform heating when attached to a magnetic ...

Application of new turbulent method for determining vertical refraction
This paper is concerned with the study of new turbulent method technique for the determining of vertical refraction when total stations are used. Required measurement accuracy of vertical refraction by conventional methods is extremely difficult due to ...

Investigation of the Temperature Fluctuation of Single-Phase Fluid Based Microchannel Heat Sink
The temperature fluctuation in a single-phase microchannel heat sink (MCHS) is investigated using the integrated temperature sensors with deionized water as the coolant. Results show that the temperature fluctuation in single phase is not negligible. The

Seebeck Effect in Nanoscale Ferromagnets [PDF]
We present a theory of the Seebeck effect in nanoscale ferromagnets with dimensions smaller than the spin diffusion length. The spin accumulation generated by a temperature gradient strongly affects the thermopower.
