LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Mixture Regression for Clustering Atmospheric-Sounding Data: A Study of the Relationship between Temperature Inversions and PM10 Concentrations

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2023
Temperature inversions prevent the mixing of air near the surface with the air higher in the atmosphere, contributing to high concentrations of air pollutants.

TEMPERATURE INVERSIONS IN TRANSYLVANIA

open access: yesAerul şi Apa: Componente ale Mediului, 2015
This paper is based on meteorological stations data and statistical methods. Daily maximum and minimum temperatures (from the period 2004-2013) were studied from 22 meteorological stations of Transylvania (s.s.). Factor analysis reveals that temperature inversions are present mainly in winter.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Algorithm for Retrieval of Temperature in Mesosphere and Lower Thermosphere from O2 A-Band Night Glow

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The O2 A-band night glow can be used to retrieve the temperature in the range of 80–120 km in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere (MLT). From the full spectrum of A-band night glow, the band used to retrieve temperature is selected based on the ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Evaluation of Temperature Inversion Indicators in Boundary Layer(Case Study: Tehran, Iran)

open access: yesتحقيقات جغرافيايی, 2017
Atmospheric stability resulting from temperature inversion is one of the main problems of the metropolises such as Tehran especially in cold periods of the year.

Recent observations of mesospheric temperature inversions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, 1997
The recent results of observed mesospheric temperature inversions are presented. Using two Rayleigh lidars (located in the south of France) and ISAMS (Improved Stratospheric And Mesospheric Sounder) and HALOE (Halogen Occultation Experiment) temperature measurements from UARS, a new detailed climatology of the inversions (occurring between 65 and 85 km
