Temperature Uniformity in Heating-Up Processes
Journal of Fluids Engineering, 1946Abstract The treatment of temperature-uniformity problems by the method first introduced by Paschkis is extended and enlarged. It is shown that uniformity calculations can be reduced to the solution of a simple trigonometric relation which can be readily solved and analyzed.

Bubble growth in non-uniform temperature fields
Chemical Engineering Science, 1971Abstract A previous theoretical model for bubble growth in superheated liquids has been extended to non-uniform temperature fields. The growth rate has been assumed as controlled by heat transfer, surface tension, liquid inertia and non-equilibrium at the liquid—vapor interface.

Temperature uniformity during hyperthermia: the impact of large vessels
Physics in Medicine and Biology, 1992During hyperthermia the presence of a large vessel entering the heated volume and carrying blood at the systemic temperature can be an important source of temperature non-uniformity and possible underdosage. The minimal tumour temperature near a large vessel is determined by the vessel wall temperature: a number of factors influencing the vessel wall ...

Effective temperature of two-dimensional material for non-uniform temperature distribution
Optics Communications, 2014Abstract Thermal radiation properties of two-dimensional materials for non-uniform temperature distribution are investigated. The two-dimensional effective temperature is derived for discrete and continuous non-uniform temperature distributions. Effective temperature depends on the size because the minimum energy is increased as the area decreases ...

Effect of Temperature and Temperature Uniformity on Plasma and Device Stability
MRS Proceedings, 2003AbstractWe have investigated the changes in the cathode potential in a dc discharge of silane and hydrogen used to deposit the intrinsic layer of p-i-n type solar cells at deposition rates from 1 to 10Å/s with the superstrate temperature at 200°C and 250°C.
