Temporal Stream Algebra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Data stream management systems (DSMS) so far focus on event queries and hardly consider combined queries to both data from event streams and from a database.

Temporal Gestures in Different Temporal Perspectives.

open access: yes, 2022
Temporal perspectives have been studied as a part of spatial thinking of time. They allow us to place ourselves and temporal events on a timeline, making it easier to spatialize time. This study investigates how we adopt temporal perspectives in temporal gestures. We asked participants to retell temporal scenarios written in the Moving-Ego (ME), Moving-

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Three-dimensional study of radiation symmetrization in some indirectly driven heavy ion ICF targets

open access: yes, 1992
Symmetrization of the radiation field inside hohlraum targets for indirectly driven heavy ion beam inertial confinement fusion (ICF) is investigated numerically.

Dynamic affective stimulation modulates visual but not auditory prospective timing

open access: yesScientific Reports
Humans are highly accurate in their temporal judgements, yet their estimations could be susceptible to several biases. It is found that fear-evoking situations are associated with elevated orienting reaction, enabling more pulses to be registered and ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Treatment of Multi-Focal Epilepsy With Resective Surgery Plus Responsive Neurostimulation (RNS): One Institution's Experience

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2020
Objective: Patients with medically refractory focal epilepsy can be difficult to treat surgically, especially if invasive monitoring reveals multiple ictal onset zones. Possible therapeutic options may include resection, neurostimulation, laser ablation,

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
