Placental Site Trophoblastic Tumor Acquires Immune Functions by Incorporating Host Maternal Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSTT cells, through cell fusion with B cells, incorporate abundant non‐inherited maternal genes that are detectable by DNIMA. These hybrid cells acquire immunotherapy‐resistant genetic changes and increase the expression of B cell‐derived immune‐related molecules such as Ig, HLA, LILRB, SIGLEC10, and so on, creating an immunotolerant environment around

Polymer‐Based Multiparameter Sensing Integrated Photonic Chip for Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A monolithic integrated photonic chip simultaneously measures blood glucose, pressure, temperature, ECG, and sweat glucose. Combining multiple Bragg grating sensors, Mach–Zehnder modulators, and an on–‐chip demodulation unit, this compact chip (1 cm × 0.5 cm) offers robust multiparameter detection.

Variations in the Origin and Contributions of Arteries supplying the Human Hippocampus: An Anatomical Study

open access: yesمجلة كلية الطب, 2008
Background: Variations in the arterial supply in the human brain are not uncommon. Of particular interest is that of the hippocampus. Knowledge of the vascular anatomy is a key to the surgical treatment of pathologies in this region.

An Implantable Phototriggered Prodrug Depot Patch Enables Actively Programmable Drug Release for Post‐Myocardial Infarction Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An implantable phototriggered prodrug depot patch (iPDP) is presented that enables actively programmable drug release post‐implantation. Covalently conjugated prodrug ensures minimal leakage; illumination parameters serve as a code to precisely control dose per release.

Wearable‐Derived Diurnal Alignment Between Physical Activity and Device Temperature Predicts Future Disease and Mortality Risk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Wearable‐derived diurnal alignment between physical activity and device temperature, decomposed into 24 h coupling strength (M24), phase deviation (D24), and 12 h harmonic magnitude (M12), is examined in approximately 90,000 UK Biobank participants.

Signal Transduction and Gene Regulation in Cerebral Arteries Following Ischemia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The thesis consideres the molecular events that take place in the cerebral arteries following a stroke. The degree and temporal course of reperfusion following a stroke is pivotal for the survival of the neuronal tissue in the penumbra.
