Spatio-Temporal Database

2008
A spatiotemporal database is a new type of database system that manages spatiotemporal objects and supports corresponding query functionalities. A spatiotemporal object is a kind of object that dynamically updates spatial locations and/or extents along with time.

A glossary of temporal database concepts

ACM SIGMOD Record, 1992
This glossary contains concepts specific to temporal databases that are well-defined, well understood, and widely used. In addition to defining and naming the concepts, the glossary also explains the decisions made. It lists competing alternatives and discusses the pros and cons of these. It also includes evaluation criteria for the naming of concepts.

ON TEMPORAL DEDUCTIVE DATABASES

Computational Intelligence, 1996
This article introduces a temporal deductive database system featuring a logic programming language and an algebraic front‐end. The language, called Temporal DATALOG, is an extension of DATALOG based on a linear‐time temporal logic in which the flow of time is modeled by the set of natural numbers.

On temporal-fuzziness in temporal Fuzzy databases

1993
We propose a framework for a database model unifying both imprecision and time aspects of data. Particularly, we emphasize that the fuzzy meanings of linguistic data can change with time; we call this property temporal-fuzziness. The major problems arising from the lack of the ability to handle this property have been studied, i.e.

“Temporal” Integrity Constraints in Temporal Databases

1995
In this paper we consider a class of integrity constraints which describe admissible lifecycles of database objects, and which can be specified by transition graphs. We present an algorithmic scheme for monitoring such constraints in temporal databases which efficiently support the concept of valid-time.

Temporality in Databases

2004
Temporality, or the time dimension is an essential aspect of the reality databases attempt to model and keep data about. However, in many database applications temporal data is treated in a rather ad hoc manner in spite of the fact that temporality should be an integral part of any data model.

Temporal Interoperability in Multi+Temporal Databases

Journal of Database Management, 1998
A multidatabase system allows applications and users to access heterogeneous information through a common interface. Information is shared and exchanged in a transparent way within a federation of autonomous database systems. In a multi+temporal database, the connected systems may be standard (snapshot) databases, temporal databases (either valid-time,

Autonomous Temporal Transaction Database

2021 30th Conference of Open Innovations Association FRUCT, 2021
The data amount to be handled, managed, and evaluated is enormous. Intelligent information systems need to cover not just conventional data types. The whole evolution should be addressed instead. Cloud environment offers a wide range of opportunities pointing to the scalability of the solution.

The Price of Evolution in Temporal Databases

2015 22nd International Symposium on Temporal Representation and Reasoning (TIME), 2015
Temporal Functional Dependencies (TFDs for short) are functional dependencies that predicate on temporal databases characterized by a special temporal dimension called valid time (VT). In [1] Combi et al. proposed a uniform framework that subsumes many of the TFDs proposed in literature and, by the combination of them, allow us to express finer ...

Converting Temporal Relational Database into Temporal Object Relational Database

2017
This paper presents an approach for migrating existing temporal relational database (TRDB), into temporal object relational database (TORDB). This is done by enhancing a representation of a varying time database’s structure, in order to make hidden semantic explicit.
