Unwrapping techniques for speckle phase maps: study and comparison of the performance of principal methods

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2010
Holographic interferometry (HI) techniques are powerful tools for experimental mechanics which can be used for displacement fields assessment on a loaded object surface. Used with no contact and high resolution HI can be combined with image processing

Transient Creep on the Yarlung Zangbo Suture in Southern Tibet Triggered by the 2015 Gorkha (Nepal) Earthquake

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 13, 16 July 2026.
Abstract Large earthquakes often elevate seismicity in surrounding regions, as seen on the Xainza‐Dinggyê rift in southern Tibet after the 2015 MW 7.8 Gorkha (Nepal) earthquake. In contrast, the EW‐trending Yarlung Zangbo suture (YZS), located directly north of this event, exhibits seismic quiescence.

Simultaneous Cerebral Blood Flow and Cerebrovascular Reactivity Obtained From Novel Multi‐Band Multi‐Echo Pseudo‐Continuous Arterial Spin Labeling (M2‐PCASL) Sequence: A Test–Retest Reliability Study

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 37-48, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose We aim to assess the reliability of cerebral blood flow (CBF) and cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR) obtained simultaneously from a novel multi‐band pseudo‐continuous arterial spin labeling (M2‐PCASL) sequence and hypercapnic gas challenge, to examine factors influencing CBF variability, and to evaluate the impact of carbon dioxide (CO2)

Respiration Can Trigger Cerebrovascular Reactivity: A Novel Method to Quantify Cerebrovascular Resistance Dynamics Using Real‐Time Phase‐Contrast MRI

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 83-95, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To directly quantify respiration‐driven cerebrovascular resistance dynamics (CRD) using a gas‐free MRI framework based on the internal‐to‐external artery carotid flow ratio (ratio_Q). Theory and Methods Two independent datasets (n = 10 and n = 17) were used to evaluate repeatability and to compare breathing conditions.

Absolute Depth Measurement Using Multiphase Normalized Cross-Correlation for Precise Optical Profilometry

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In a multifrequency phase-shifting (MFPS) algorithm, the temporal phase unwrapping algorithm can extend the unambiguous phase range by transforming the measurement range from a short fringe pitch into an extended synthetic pitch of two different ...

Enhanced 2D Spiral Cine DENSE MRI Using Low‐Rank Denoising for Improved Apparent Signal‐to‐Noise Ratio, Spatial Resolution, Efficiency, Accuracy, and Accessibility

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 403-419, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop a denoising technique for displacement encoding with stimulated echoes (DENSE) MRI that improves spatial resolution, efficiency, and accuracy, and enhances accessibility by implementing DENSE MRI at 0.55 T. Methods We developed a low‐rank denoising technique, which leverages multidimensional spiral cine DENSE MRI data for ...

An Autoethnography of My Experiences of Undergoing Fertility Treatment While Working as an Academic

open access: yesGender, Work &Organization, Volume 33, Issue 4, Page 1405-1415, July 2026.
ABSTRACT In this paper, I provide an autoethnographic account of my experiences of undergoing fertility treatment while working in a higher education institution in the United Kingdom. My autoethnographic reflections are situated in the context of neoliberal academia, characterized by high pressures to perform. Despite the prevalence of infertility and

Multimodal adaptive temporal phase unwrapping using deep learning and physical priors

open access: yesAPL Photonics
In optical 3D measurement, temporal phase unwrapping (TPU) is widely employed in fringe projection and interferometry, as it is crucial for resolving wrapped phase ambiguities and obtaining absolute phase distributions.

Interseismic Creep Along the Enriquillo–Plantain Garden Fault, Haiti, Estimated From InSAR

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract The Enriquillo–Plantain Garden fault zone (EPGFZ) is a major left‐lateral strike‐slip fault in southern Haiti hosting several recent destructive earthquakes, including the 2021 MW 7.1 Nippes event with primary thrust‐slip. To investigate how strain is accommodated in the vicinity of the 2021 event, we analyzed Sentinel‐1 interferometric ...

Spatio-Temporal Refinement for InSAR Phase Unwrapping Using Untrained Neural Networks

open access: yes2025 33rd European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO)
Synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) enables high-precision ground deformation detection by measuring phase differences between SAR images. However, the challenging phase unwrapping is required to resolve inherent ambiguities. Disturbances like spatio-temporal decorrelation, atmospheric artifacts and multipath interference introduce noise ...
