Space Closure for Congenitally Missing Lower Second Premolars Using Temporary Anchorage Devices

open access: yes, 2022
Lower second premolars are the most common congenitally missing teeth next to third molars, with a prevalence of 2.5-5% in the United States and Europe.1 A reliable diagnosis usually requires waiting until the patient is at least 9 years old to confirm ...

Eco‐Friendly Laser‐Induced Graphene/Perovskite Hybrids for Eco‐Friendly Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A sustainable paper‐based photodetector was developed by combining laser‐induced graphene (LIG) with MAPbI3 perovskite. Compared with pure LIG devices, the hybrid photodetector exhibited nearly 10‐fold higher responsivity and 7‐fold greater detectivity while maintaining stable performance after 1000 bending cycles, demonstrating its potential for ...

A Full Physical Strategy for Electrical Contacts on Laser‐Induced Graphene (LIG) Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A fully dry fabrication strategy combining PVD and dual‐laser processing enables direct integration of laser‐induced graphene with metallic current collectors. Ultralow Au‐LIG contact resistance is achieved without binders, adhesives, or chemical treatments, while preserving electrochemical performance.

Stretchable Energy Storage with Eutectic Gallium Indium Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
A highly stretchable liquid metal‐based electrode is developed via a one‐step process, retaining conductivity and capacitance after mechanical deformation up to 900% strain. The stretchable all‐solid‐state device provides a areal energy density of 43 µWh cm⁻2 after 150% strain.

Use of Orthodontic Mini-Implants in Conjunction with Elastics for Extrusion of Impacted Canines and Correction of Bimaxillary Protrusion

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences
Orthodontic extrusion of canines, although challenging, can yield excellent results without tooth extraction. Temporary anchorage devices (TADs), involving mini-implants in the alveolar bone, offer stable anchorage via biomechanics.
