Self‐Healing Hydrogel‐Enabled Modular Assembly of Bilayered Skin Construct for Hair Follicle Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐healing assembly of two cell‐laden hydrogel layers creates a biomimetic skin construct that restores both dermal and epidermal functions, resulting in accelerated wound healing and enhanced hair follicle regeneration in a full‐thickness skin wound model. ABSTRACT Alopecia remains a pervasive clinical challenge, largely owing to the limited ability

A Geometrically Transient Platform for Bioelectronic Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Minimally invasive bioelectronic implants often compromise performance for smaller sizes. To resolve this optimization dilemma, a wireless bioelectronic implant with a transient geometry is introduced (MiFi). The origami‐inspired device miniaturizes up to sixfold for syringe insertion and autonomously unfolds post‐implantation.

Production of transgenic strawberries by temporary immersion bioreactor system and verification by TAIL-PCR

open access: yesBMC Biotechnology, 2007
Background Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) is an economically important soft fruit crop with polyploid genome which complicates the breeding of new cultivars. For certain traits, genetic engineering offers a potential alternative to traditional breeding.

1‐D Collocated Dual‐Gradient Sensory Fibers for Comprehensive Sensing and Decoding of Complex Human Motion and Physiology

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Coupled materials design enables a monolithic fiber that integrates complementary sensing regimes into a single wearable strand. By preserving informative signal features across subtle physiological deformation, large body motion, and mixed mechanical inputs, the dual‐gradient architecture generates synchronized, less redundant outputs that improve ...

Influence of the growth regulators and inhibitors on the multiplication of axillary shoots from ´FHIA-21´ (AAAB) hybrid cultivar in Temporary Immersion Systems.

open access: yesBiotecnología Vegetal, 2006
This work was carried out at the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory from the Instituto de Investigaciones en Viandas Tropicales (INIVIT) in order to determine the culture medium for the multiplication of hybrid ‘FHIA–21’ (AAAB) in Temporary Immersion Systems.

Bioinspired Adaptive Surfaces for Intelligent Liquid Manipulation: Progressing From Passive and Active to Hybrid Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines passive, active, and hybrid liquid manipulation strategies, highlighting hybrid approaches as an emerging route to reconcile energy efficiency with adaptive control. By actively reconstructing passive surfaces to store programmable interfacial energy, hybrid systems enable flexible yet low‐power liquid transport, with perspectives ...

Assessment of different temporary immersion systems in the micropropagation of anthurium (Anthurium andreanum)

open access: yes3 Biotech, 2019
Anthurium has been micropropagated mainly through conventional techniques in semisolid culture medium. However, this culture system involves constraints due to the low number of shoots produced and the high costs of the gelling agent and labor. Temporary immersion systems (TIS) are an alternative for increasing biological performance, reducing costs ...
