The Gray tensor product via factorisation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We discuss the folklore construction of the Gray tensor product of 2-categories as obtained by factoring the map from the funny tensor product to the cartesian product. We show that this factorisation can be obtained without using a concrete presentation

Near‐Field Electrospinning Micro‐Printhead Achieves Precise Control of Nanofiber Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A micro‐printhead for near‐field electrospinning enables reproducible deposition of polymer nanofibers with diameters below 50 nm. Systematic parameter studies uncover the mechanisms linking operating conditions to fiber morphology, paving the way for precise and low‐cost nanoscale 3D manufacturing. As a high‐resolution, cost‐effective, and rapid ...

TENSOR PRODUCT q-BERNSTEIN POLYNOMIALS

open access: yes, 2008
An a. ne de Casteljau type algorithm to compute q-Bernstein Bezier curves is introduced and its intermediate points are obtained explicitly in two ways. Furthermore we de.

Tensor product random matrix theory

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
The evolution of complex correlated quantum systems such as random circuit networks is governed by the dynamical buildup of both entanglement and entropy.

Centroids of Lie Supertriple Systems

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2015
We derive certain structural results concerning centroids of Lie supertriple systems. Centroids of the tensor product of a Lie supertriple system and a unital commutative associative algebra are studied. Furthermore, the centroid of a tensor product of a

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

Robustness of Tensor Product

open access: yes, 2007
This paper describes experiments on on the robustness of tensor product networks using distributed representations, for recall tasks. The results of the experiments indicate, among other things, that the degree of robustness increases with the number of ...

Two generalizations of the nonabelian tensor product

open access: yes, 2012
The purpose of this paper is two-fold. First we introduce the box-tensor product of two groups as a generalization of the nonabelian tensor product of groups.

The Centroid of a Lie Triple Algebra

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
General results on the centroids of Lie triple algebras are developed. Centroids of the tensor product of a Lie triple algebra and a unitary commutative associative algebra are studied.

Rafting of Ni‐Based Superalloys Under Multiaxial Load as Understood by Phase‐Field Simulations and Critical Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.
