Epoxy-reinforced heavy metal oxides for gamma ray shielding purposes
Epoxy resins with varying amounts of MoO3 were theoretically investigated for their radiation shielding ability at low energies (between 0.0395 and 0.344 MeV). The quantity of MoO3 varied from 0 to 30%, and relevant shielding parameters were obtained and

Machine learning as an instrument for data unfolding [PDF]
A method for correcting for detector smearing effects using machine learning techniques is presented. Compared to the standard approaches the method can use more than one reconstructed variable to infere the value of the unsmeared quantity on event by ...

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

The influence of PbO and Bi2O3 on the radiation shielding and elastic features for different glasses
The radiation shielding effects and elastic properties of adding lead (Pb) and bismuth (Bi) to glasses was analyzed. Six different glasses, coded as G1-G6, were simulated with varying compositions of bismuth oxide and lead oxide, with G1 having the ...
