Temporal interfaces are abrupt refractive index changes used in time‐varying optics, but also transitions to nonequilibrium states. This work explores the inelastic scattering of time‐varying light by nonthermal acoustic phonons in the vicinity of temporal interfaces.

A polarization‐dependent liquid–crystal spatial light modulator is used to generate coaxial double‐focus laser beams with independently tunable focal separation and intensity. Applied to silicon, this configuration enables counterpropagating pulse interactions using a single focusing element, enhancing nonlinear excitation and achieving near‐critical ...

Leaky Topological Edge State Cavities for On‐Chip Terahertz Sensing
Engineering radiation leakage in topological edge state cavities (TESCs) turns a conventional loss channel into a resource for enhancing on‐chip terahertz‐matter interactions. Tailoring the radiation leakage of a valley photonic crystal produces guided TESC with loaded Q factors up to 14 148 and leaky TESC with 2.2‐fold higher sensitivity, reaching 150.

Chip‐Scale Terahertz Sensing Driven by Supercoupling Induced Transparency in Topological Cavities
Supercoupling‐induced transparency (SIT) in topological cavities enables sensitive terahertz sensing on a chip. Strong field confinement and slow light response enhance interactions with thin films, enabling thickness detection through resonance shifts and group delay changes.

PARCE: Accurate Inference of Crystal Structure Information From Phonon Vibrational Modes
In this work, we introduce a multidescriptor framework and accuracy‐adaptive ensemble network to classify over 30,000 crystals from phonon and Raman data, achieving > 60% accuracy across diverse structures. Our work reduces reliance on ideal XRD data, enabling automated and large‐scale material structure analysis.

Unraveling the Mechanism for Phonon Based Heat Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks
Heat transport in metal‐organic frameworks arises from an interplay between particle‐like phonon propagation and wave‐like inter‐band coupling. Using machine‐learned potentials within a unified phonon‐transport framework based on the Wigner transport theory, we reveal how differences in phonon lifetimes and phonon tunneling effects determine the ...
