Gate‐Tunable Floquet Weyl Photon Emission from Topological Dirac Semimetal Cd3As2

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report experimental demonstration of Floquet band engineering in a 3D Dirac semimetal. Circularly polarized light breaks the time reversal symmetry and transforms Cd3As2 into a Floquet–Weyl phase, splitting Dirac nodes into chirality‐opposite Weyl nodes with nonzero Berry curvature.

MEMS-Based Terahertz Detectors [PDF]

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2015
A MEMS based novel THz detector structure is designed and realized by micro fabrication. The detector is then characterized to extract its mechanical performance. Operating in 1-5 THz band, the detector has a pixel size of 200 μm × 200 μm. Bimaterial suspension legs consist of Parylene-C and titanium, the pair of which provides a high mismatch in ...

Resistance to Overdoping Allows Over 2000 S cm−1 Conductivity in P(g3BTTT) With Anion‐Exchange Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

Effective Generation of Milliwatt-Level Sub-Terahertz Wave for Nonlinear Response Measurement of Two-Dimensional Material by Optical Heterodyne Technique

open access: yesAdvances in Condensed Matter Physics, 2017
By using optical heterodyne technique, we demonstrated the stable emission of sub-terahertz wave with the frequency ranging from 88 GHz to 101 GHz, which can operate as microwave source for nonlinear response measurement system.

On‐Water Surface Synthesis of 2D Conjugated Metal–Organic Framework Films With Controllable Layer Orientation Enabling High‐Performance Chemiresistive Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Layer orientation dictates charge transport in 2D conjugated metal–organic frameworks, yet controllable methods remain scarce. We report surfactant monolayer‐assisted on‐water synthesis of cm2‐scale Ni‐HHTP films with programmable face‐on and edge‐on orientations.

Room temperature GaN/AlGaN self-mixing terahertz detector enhanced by resonant antennas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This letter focuses on the fabrication and characterization of a terahertz detector integrated with a group of low pass filters and resonant antennas. The detector operates as a self-mixer on GaN/AlGaN high electron mobility transistor(HEMT).
