Molecular imaging with terahertz waves
We demonstrate a highly sensitive THz molecular imaging (TMI) technique involving differential modulation of surface plasmons induced on nanoparticles and obtain target specific in vivo images of cancers. This technique can detect quantities of gold nanoparticles as small as 15 µM in vivo. A comparison of TMI images with near infrared absorption images

A 300 GHz "Always-in-Focus" Focusing System for Target Detection [PDF]
A focusing system for a 300 GHz radar with 5 m target distance and 10 mm diameter spot size resolution is proposed. The focusing system is based on a Gaussian telescope scheme and its main parameters have been de¬signed using Gaussian beam quasi-optical ...

Ultra-wideband THz/IR Metamaterial Absorber based on Doped Silicon
Metamaterial-based absorbers have been extensively investigated in the terahertz (THz) range with ever increasing performances. In this paper, we propose an all-dielectric THz absorber based on doped silicon.

In this work, ultrafast laser‐induced spin transfer and spin relaxation dynamics in 2D van der Waals antiferromagnetic CrI3/CrGeTe3 heterostructures are investigated. Laser excitation is demonstrated to induce pronounced interlayer nonequilibrium spin dynamics and ultrafast magnetic moment reconstruction, driving a transition from an antiferromagnetic (

Photon‐Sphere Modes in Curved Optical Microcavities: A Black‐Hole Analogue Laser
An optical analogue of a Schwarzschild black hole is realized using curved microcavities that preserve light‐like geodesics. A new family of laser modes confined around the photon sphere is identified alongside conventional whispering‐gallery modes. Analytical theory, numerical simulations, and experiments reveal curvature‐induced confinement, enabling

Rapid Determination of Rivaroxaban by Using Terahertz Metamaterial Biosensor
Rivaroxaban, a direct oral anticoagulant, is widely used in the management and prevention of thrombotic conditions. Dose adjustments are necessary to optimize efficacy based on individual physiological differences. However, current analytical methods are

Efficient terahertz en-face imaging
In this work, we develop a pulsed terahertz imaging system in reflection geometry, where due to scanning of the terahertz beam neither the sample nor the emitter and detector have to be moved. We use a two mirror galvanoscanner for deflecting the beam, in combination with a single rotationally symmetric focusing lens.
