Liquid Crystal-Tuned Planar Optics in Terahertz Range
Recently, terahertz waves of higher frequencies compared to microwave and radio frequency have shown great potential in radar detection and high-speed wireless communication. To spatially control the wavefront of terahertz beams, various novel components,

Novel electrically resonant terahertz metamaterials [PDF]
We present a new class of artificial materials which exhibit a tailored response to the electrical component of electromagnetic radiation. These electric metamaterials (EM-MMs) are investigated theoretically, computationally, and experimentally using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy.

Complementary planar terahertz metamaterials
Planar electric split ring resonator (eSRR) metamaterials and their corresponding inverse structures are designed and characterized computationally and experimentally utilizing finite element modeling and THz time domain spectroscopy. A complementary response is observed in transmission.

Programmable Terahertz Metamaterials with Non‐Volatile Memory
Spatial light modulators (SLMs) exhibit a powerful capability of controlling electromagnetic waves. They are found to have numerous applications at terahertz (THz) frequencies, including wireless communication, digital holography, and compressive imaging.

Terahertz nonlinear superconducting metamaterials [PDF]
We investigate the nonlinear effect of a planar superconducting metamaterial made from niobium nitride (NbN) at terahertz frequencies. As the variation of the incident intense terahertz field alters the intrinsic conductivity in the NbN, a consequent giant amplitude modulation is observed due to the strong nonlinearities.

Extraordinarily Transparent Metaldielectrics for Infrared and Terahertz Applications
Metamaterials are extremely important in advanced technologies, but usually, they rely on the resonant behavior of their constituent blocks. This strongly limits the application of metamaterials to particular frequency band ranges. However, metamaterials
