Electrostatic Self‐Assembly Induced Nest‐Like MXene Networks on Fabric for Ultra‐Broadband Flexible Absorption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, an electrostatically self‐assembled WPU‐MXene@FC flexible fabric constructs a “nest‐like” structure on fibers, building construct MXene multiple loss paths, achieving ultra‐wideband absorption of 25.3–1200 GHz in a thickness of 1.8 mm, while also exhibiting superhydrophobicity, acid and alkali resistance, and bending resistance ...

300 GHz radar for high resolution SAR and ISAR applications

open access: yes, 2022
577580In this paper we present the first high resolution SAR measurements performed in the lower terahertz region with the MIRANDA-300 system. The millimeter wave FMCW radar is operated at 300 GHz and provides a bandwidth of more than 40 GHz leading to a

Tunable High‐Performance Metamaterial Filters Based on Novel SRR Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on two novel SRR configurations and two independent SRR integration approaches, four tunable bandpass metamaterial filters were fabricated with an ultra‐thin ceramic substrate. Among them, SM‐2 achieves over 97% electromagnetic wave transmittance, with a minimal 1.15% deviation in its resonant frequency prediction, making them promising ...

Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.

Hybrid Beamforming for Terahertz Joint Ultra-Massive MIMO Radar-Communications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
peer reviewedIn this paper, we investigate the hybrid beamforming problem in joint radar-communications at terahertz (THz) bands. In order to address the extremely high attenuation at THz, ultra-massive multiple-input multiple-output (UM-MIMO) antenna ...
