Louis Armand Victor Amedée Cailliot

open access: yesEducación Química, 2020
Amédée Cailliot (1805-1884), a French physician and pharmacist who isolated for the first time several new acids (among them terephthalic) from turpentine, prepared a series of double salts of mercuric cyanide and potassium (and sodium) bromide and ...

Inside‐Outside ROS Therapeutic Strategy Based on Piezoelectric Nano‐Urchin for Drug‐Resistant Bacteria Biofilm Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The contribution of this study lies not only in enabling effective treatment of drug‐resistant biofilm infections, but also in establishing a transferable therapeutic paradigm: Ultrasound‐triggered mechanical forces synergistically enhance piezoelectric polarization and nanozyme activity, driving functional ROS generation inside and outside biofilms ...

Review on Intermolecular Forces between Dyes Used for Polyester Dyeing and Polyester Fiber

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2020
Polyester fiber is a manufactured fiber composed of synthetic linear macromolecules in the chain at least 85% by mass of an ester of diol and benzene-1, 4-dicarboxylic acid (terephthalic acid).

Topology‐Aware Machine Learning for High‐Throughput Screening of MOFs in C8 Aromatic Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
We screened 15,335 Computation‐Ready, Experimental Metal–Organic Frameworks (CoRE‐MOFs) using a topology‐aware machine learning (ML) model that integrates structural, chemical, pore‐size, and topological descriptors. Top‐performing MOFs exhibit aromatic‐enriched cavities and open metal sites that enable π–π and C–H···π interactions, serving as ...

H2 production from photocatalytic reforming of PET over Pt/TiO2: The role of terephthalic acid [PDF]

open access: yes
Photoreforming is a promising method for the conversion of waste materials with simultaneous production of H2. The use of waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as a photoreforming substrate has been previously investigated, however its insolubility in ...

Tuning the Mechanical Properties of Crosslinked Copolymers via Sequence and Solvent‐Selective Swelling for Vat Photopolymerization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Polymer sequence and solvent selectivity independently modulate pendant‐vinyl accessibility during photocuring, trapping different topologies in CLIP and controlling mechanical properties. ABSTRACT Block copolymers (BCPs) offer distinct advantages for vat photopolymerization by enabling mechanically programmable network structures through microphase ...

Study on optimal biodegradation of terephthalic acid by an isolated Pseudomonas sp.

open access: yes, 2013
The biodegradation of terephthalic acid (TA) by the Pseudomonas sp. was researched in this paper. The optimal nitrogen source was urea with its concentration of 1400 mg/l. The optimal conditions for TA degradation were optimized by orthogonal test.

POLY (ETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE) COPOLYMERS WITH HALOGENATED TEREPHTHALIC ACIDS

open access: yesSen'i Gakkaishi, 1981
Poly (ethylene terephthalate) copolymers were prepared by substitution up to 40 mol% of diacid comonomers: 2, 5-dichloroterephthalic acid (TCl2) and 2, 5-dibromoterephthalic acid (TBr2). ηsp/C of the copolymers does not depend on the comonomer content. Melting point depression shows that copolymers with TCl2 and TBr2 are non-isomorphous.

A narrow bandgap Schottky heterojunction Fe2N/CeO2 microneedle triggering sonodynamic reactive oxygen species storm for drug‐resistance‐free skin fungal infection

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Inorganic sonosensitizers suffer from inefficient electron‐hole separation, rapid recombination, and wide bandgaps in anti‐fungal applications. We propose MN@Fe2N/CeO2 to directly eliminate fungi without drug resistance. Combining semiconductor CeO2's advantages with Fe2N's high work function and activity enables efficient Schottky heterojunctions ...
