End-of-Life Delirium: Issues Regarding Recognition, Optimal Management and the Role of Sedation in the Dying Phase. [PDF]
CONTEXT: In end-of-life care, delirium is often not recognized and poses unique management challenges, especially in the case of refractory delirium in the terminal phase.

We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Pharmacological Treatment for Terminal Agitation, Delirium and Anxiety in Frail Older Patients
Context: Psychological distress symptoms in the last days of life often contribute to the overall symptom burden in frail older patients. Good symptom management practices are crucial to ensure high-quality end-of-life care in an aging population, though

On age-specific selection and extensive lifespan beyond menopause [PDF]
Extensive post reproductive lifespan (PRLS) is observed only in a few species, such as humans or resident killer whales, and its origin is under debate. Hypotheses like mother-care and grandmother-care invoke strategies of investment--provision to one's descendants to enhance one's overall reproductive success--to explain PRLS.

Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.

Asymmetric Two-Terminal Graphene Detector for Broadband Radiofrequency Heterodyne- and Self-Mixing [PDF]
Graphene, a single atomic layer of covalently bonded carbon atoms, has been investigated intensively for optoelectronics and represents a promising candidate for high-speed electronics. Here we present a microwave mixer constructed as an asymmetrically-contacted two-terminal graphene device based on the thermoelectric effect.
