Impact of classical forces and decoherence in multi-terminal Aharonov-Bohm networks

open access: yes, 2009
Multi-terminal Aharonov-Bohm (AB) rings are ideal building blocks for quantum networks (QNs) thanks to their ability to map input states into controlled coherent superpositions of output states.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Adaptive Trust Evaluation Model Based on Entropy Weight Method for Sensing Terminal Process

open access: yesEntropy
Remote sensing (RS) has been widely used for data acquisition, monitoring, control, and intelligent decision-making. However, most of them are unattended and easily become the target of attack, which means there are still some risks in the sensing ...

Rashba-induced transverse pure spin currents in a four-terminal quantum dot ring

open access: yes, 2009
By applying a local Rashba spin-orbit interaction on an individual quantum dot of a four-terminal four-quantum-dot ring and introducing a finite bias between the longitudinal terminals, we theoretically investigate the charge and spin currents in the ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Mesoscopic threshold detectors: Telegraphing the size of a fluctuation

open access: yes, 2005
We propose a two-terminal method to measure shot noise in mesoscopic systems based on an instability in the current-voltage characteristic of an on-chip detector.
