Probabilistic Topic Models for Learning Terminological Ontologies
Probabilistic topic models were originally developed and utilized for document modeling and topic extraction in Information Retrieval. In this paper, we describe a new approach for automatic learning of terminological ontologies from text corpus based on such models.

The paper deals with the task of automated terminology extraction. A two-stage technology for its solution is proposed, based on topic modeling and analyzing the context of the use of lexical units. Query Behavior: The Impact of Health Literacy, Topic Familiarity and Terminology
We conducted a user study to analyze how health literacy, topic familiarity and the terminology used in past queries affect query behavior in health searches. We found that users with inadequate health literacy have less success in web searches and show more difficulties in query formulation.
