Novel Biologically Active Glass Fiber Functionalized Using Magnesium Phosphate Cement Promotes Bone and Vascular Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
In this study, a new type of bioactive glass fiber ‐based composite magnesium phosphate bone cement is prepared and verified that its mechanical strength and biological properties. In addition, the cement may have played a biologically active role in the Notch and HIF signaling pathways.

Alcohol Fuels for Spark-Ignition Engines: Performance, Efficiency, and Emission Effects at Mid to High Blend Rates for Ternary Mixtures

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
This paper follows on from an earlier publication on high-blend-rate binary gasoline-alcohol mixtures and reports results for some equivalent ternary fuels from several investigation streams.

Derivations on ternary rings of operators [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
To each projection $p$ in a $C^*$-algebra $A$ we associate a family of derivations on $A$, called $p$-derivations, and relate them to the space of triple derivations on $p A (1-p)$. We then show that every derivation on a ternary ring of operators is spatial and we investigate whether every such derivation on a weakly closed ternary ring of operators ...

The Regulation of Trace Metal Elements in Cancer Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The induction of ferroptosis inhibits tumor growth, enhances anticancer efficacy, and overcomes drug resistance. Recent evidence shows nonferrous metal elements play a role in ferroptosis. This review focuses on how trace metals regulate ferroptosis processes like iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant defense.

Leaps: an approach to the block structure of a graph [PDF]

open access: yes
To study the block structure of a connected graph G=(V,E), we introduce two algebraic approaches that reflect this structure: a binary operation + called a leap operation and a ternary relation L called a leap system, both on a finite, nonempty set V ...

A Novel Digitalization Approach for Smart Materials – Ontology‐Based Access to Data and Models

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In order to access heterogeneous material data and model‐based knowledge, the established ontology‐based data access (OBDA) is extended to include material models. This novel ontology‐based data and model access (OBDMA) enables the computation of new responses beyond stored data.

FAIR and Structured Data: A Domain Ontology Aligned with Standard‐Compliant Tensile Testing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The digitalization in materials science and engineering is discussed, emphasizing the importance of digital workflows and ontologies in managing diverse experimental data. Challenges such as quality assurance and data interoperability are tackled with semantic web technologies, focusing and introducing the tensile test ontology (TTO).

A Ternary Inverter Based on Hybrid Conduction Mechanism of Band-to-Band Tunneling and Drift-Diffusion Process

open access: yesMicromachines
In this paper, a novel transistor based on a hybrid conduction mechanism of band-to-band tunneling and drift-diffusion is proposed and investigated with the aid of TCAD tools.

Generalized Permutations and Ternary Bent Functions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The report studies the generation of ternary bent functions by permuting the circular Vilenkin_Chrestenson spectrum of a known bent function. We call this spectral invariant operations in the spectral domain, in analogy to the spectral invariant operations in the domain of the functions.
