Diversity and Habitat Ecology of Aquatic and Terrestrial Epiphytic Algae in Rangmahal, North Guwahati, Assam

open access: yes
This paper presents a comprehensive study on the diversity, distribution, and habitat ecology of aquatic and terrestrial epiphytic algae in Rangmahal, North Guwahati, Assam. The research documents 17 algal species from varied microhabitats, including submerged aquatic plants, wetlands, and tree bark surfaces, highlighting the ecological richness of the

Bridging the Gap Between Human Toxicology and Ecotoxicology Under One Health Perspective by a Cross‐Species Adverse Outcome Pathway Network for Reproductive Toxicity

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology and Chemistry, EarlyView.
Cross‐species extrapolation of adverse outcome pathway network on reproductive toxicity under the One Health perspective using new approach methodologies. AOP = adverse outcome pathway. Abstract Although ecotoxicological and toxicological risk assessments are performed separately from each other, recent efforts have been made in both disciplines to ...

Under‐Explored Species, Breeds and Cell Types With Potential for Cultivated Meat Production

open access: yesFood Bioengineering, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract illustrates how the strategic selection of overlooked cell lines from novel species and specific agricultural breeds can help overcome current manufacturing bottlenecks in cultivated meat production. The schematic links the concept of an ‘ideal cell line’ to four key bioprocessing and product advantages that can be optimised ...

Spatial Patterns of Seed Plants and Their Conservation Priorities in Jiangxi Province, China 中国江西省种子植物的空间格局及其保护优先区

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, EarlyView.
We comprehensively evaluated the seed plant diversity of Jiangxi province to address the regional biodiversity conservation of Asian subtropical evergreen broad‐leaved forests (EBLFs). Higher species diversity of seed plants was observed in eastern, southern, and western Jiangxi, with elevation and precipitation as mainly environmental factors.

Residents' Knowledge and Protection Willingness of Otters in a Megacity in China 中国特大城市居民对水獭的认知程度及保护意愿

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In today's rapidly urbanizing world, the survival of wildlife in cities faces significant challenges, and the attitudes of urban residents toward wildlife play a crucial role in their survival. Otters, as top predators in freshwater ecosystems who are highly sensitive to environmental changes, had once gone extinct in Shenzhen—a megacity ...

Ionic liquids: structure–toxicity relationships, predictive toxicology, and sustainable design

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, EarlyView.
Abstract Ionic liquids (ILs) have often been described as green alternatives to conventional solvents because of their negligible vapor pressure and highly tunable properties. However, low volatility does not necessarily translate into environmental safety, as their biological and ecological effects are strongly influenced by molecular structure.
