A meiotic study of two translocations and a tertiary trisomic in the mouse (Mus musculus)

open access: yes, 1975
In this section, the order of the articles has not been closely followed. Each point ends with the number(s) of the article(s) (as given in the contents), where the conclusion is based on.1) Cytological meiotic studies of T(2;8)26H and T(1;13)70H ...

Tertiary contacts control switching of the SAM-I riboswitch

open access: yes, 2010
Riboswitches are non-coding RNAs that control gene expression by sensing small molecules through changes in secondary structure. While sec-ondary structure and ligand interactions are thought to control switching, the exact mechanism of control is ...

Tertiary-Butylbenzene Functionalization as a Strategy for β‑Sheet Polypeptides

open access: yes, 2022
β-Sheet forming polypeptides are one of the least explored synthetic systems due to their uncontrolled precipitation in the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) synthetic methodology.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Assessment of patients knowledge and attitude towards diabetes and its relationship with glycemic control: A cross-sectional study in a Nigerian tertiary hospital

open access: yesNigerian Journal of Medicine, 2019
BACKGROUND: It is postulated that increased knowledge of patients about diabetes as well as a positive attitude will lead to improved glycaemic control and better outcome.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
