The Test Environment

2001
In this chapter we discuss first of all how to set up the test environment for MySQL on a local computer. Since MySQL usually doesn’t run all by itself, but in combination with other programs, this chapter also discusses Apache, PHP, Perl, Connector/ODBC, and phpMyAdmin. We consider installation under Windows and under Linux.

Test generation in a distributed environment

Proceedings of the Third IEEE Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Processing, 2002
This paper describes a distributed test generation system for combinational circuits. It is made up of modules running on computers connected via a local area network. Issues in parallelizing the tasks between the various modules are discussed, with comparison to previous work in the field.

Software testing in the commercial environment

Proceedings of the 1988 ACM sixteenth annual conference on Computer science - CSC '88, 1988
The use of software engineering in a commercial COBOL environment is discussed as it relates to the testing phase of the software life cycle. Tools appropriate to this phase are presented with a rationale for their use. Problems with tools in existing commercial environments where COBOL is the primary language are also discussed.

Security and Test Environment for SIP

2007
One of the most important parts in next generation VoIP is security management. When a designer develops a protocol stack based on SIP(Session Initiation Protocol), it is necessary to develop test scenario, test environment and adaptation test technology for security test of the system.

The Test Environment

1999
This chapter concentrates on the requirements for a generic set of test tools together with their associated quality requirements and lists some tools which are commercially available. A number of widely known tools which are commercially available and fit into the proposed toolset are reviewed. Advice on the selection of tools is given.

An integrated verification and testing environment

Software: Practice and Experience, 1983
AbstractA verification and testing environment that includes static analysis, symbolic execution, and dynamic analysis capabilities is presented. Tool integration and co‐operation are promoted through use of an intermediate program representation and a system data manager. A substantial user interface aids application of the tools.

Integrated test environment for combinatorial testing

2015 IEEE International Advance Computing Conference (IACC), 2015
In this paper we propose an integrated test environment for combinatorial testing and discuss its realization at macro level. We describe the entities that make up the integrated test environment and their interaction, high-lighting the combinatorial test aspects. The proposed environment can be used for the automated as well as manual testing.

The MicroTest Integrated Test Environment

1992
In the last few years the theory and practice of program testing came into prominence. The reason of the research is in the recognition of the fact that maintenance cost is the strongest component of software development expenses. Since error correcting is about two third of the entire cost on maintainability, the great effort seems intelligible [1,2,3]

Testing in a complex systems environment

IBM Systems Journal, 1975
The testing problems in a complex systems environment are described with categorization by purpose of the tests and objectives to be achieved. The approach to testing and the methodology required to adequately test in the various testing categories are presented.
