Treatment of testicular hydrocele with tetracycline sclerotherapy

Fifteen patients with primary hydrocele of the testis were treated by aspiration and injection of tetracycline. Only 5 patients (33.3%) were cured by a single injection of tetracycline. Furthermore, 46.6% of our patients experienced severe scrotal pain, three of whom required open surgery.

Ectopic Hydrocele After Testicular Transposition

A 55-year-old man was treated for Fournier gangrene in 2004 with radical debridement and bilateral testicular transposition to the medial thighs. Eight years later, bilateral hydroceles formed. After conservative measures failed for treatment of the hydroceles, the condition was treated during desired testicular relocation, and creation of a neoscrotum.
