ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.

Precondition Coverage in Software Testing
Preconditions indicate when it is permitted to use a given function. However, it is not always the case that both outcomes of a precondition are observed during testing. A precondition that is always false makes a function unusable, a precondition that is always true may turn out to be actually an invariant.

Branch coverage prediction in automated testing [PDF]
AbstractSoftware testing is crucial in continuous integration (CI). Ideally, at every commit, all the test cases should be executed, and moreover, new test cases should be generated for the new source code. This is especially true in a Continuous Test Generation (CTG) environment, where the automatic generation of test cases is integrated into the ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Who Pays? Coverage Challenges for Cardiovascular Genetic Testing in U.S. Patients
Inherited cardiovascular conditions are common, and comprehensive care of affected families often involves genetic testing. When the clinical presentations of these conditions overlap, genetic testing may clarify diagnoses, etiologies, and treatments in ...

Transition coverage based test case generation from state chart diagram
State-based testing is a challenging area in the software testing field. This paper proposes a set of algorithms to generate test cases from a state chart diagram based on various coverage criteria.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Coronary artery calcium testing: A call for universal coverage
Heart attacks kill more Americans than all cancers combined. Fatal heart attack victims have no symptoms until minutes before they die, hence early detection of high-risk asymptomatic individuals is needed.
