Label‐Free Impedimetric Determination of Cortisol Using Gold Nanoparticles Functionalized Laser‐Induced Graphene Interdigitated Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 9, May 6, 2025.
Non‐faradaic label‐free impedimetric determination of cortisol is demonstrated with gold nanoparticles (AuNP) functionalized laser‐induced graphene interdigitated electrodes (LIG‐IDE). The AuNP functionalized LIG‐IDE exhibits remarkable characteristics including good logarithmic linear range, high reproducibility, repeatability, and robust selectivity.

Sex Differences in Upper‐ and Lower‐Limb Muscle Strength in Children and Adolescents: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Science, Volume 25, Issue 5, May 2025.
ABSTRACT On average, adult men are physically stronger than adult women. The magnitude of this difference depends on the muscle tested, with larger sex differences observed in upper‐ than lower‐limb muscles. Whether body region‐specific sex differences in strength exist in children is unclear.

Alterations in Semen Quality and Immune‐Related Factors in Men with Infertility who Recovered from COVID‐19

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2025.
Semen quality initially decreases post‐COVID‐19 but reverses after approximately 3 months in male with infertility, and the decreased semen quality was related to inflammatory reactions and fever . ABSTRACT The emergence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) has triggered research into its impact on male reproductive health. However, studies exploring

Diffusion time effects over the adult lifespan indicates persistent zone‐specific microstructural alterations in the human prostate with aging

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 93, Issue 5, Page 2059-2069, May 2025.
Abstract Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate microstructural changes in the aging adult prostate by comparing the effects of varying diffusion times using diffusion MRI, and to provide an age‐related benchmark for future prostate cancer studies.

A Little Known but Very Common Phenotype in Patients With Severe Congenital Neutropenia Due to HAX1 Deficiency: Premature Ovarian Insufficiency

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 72, Issue 5, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Autosomal recessive severe congenital neutropenia (SCN) has been associated with homozygous variants in the HAX1 gene. The aim of this cross‐sectional study was to evaluate the gonadal function and pubertal development in pediatric patients with SCN due to HAX1 gene variant (HAX1‐SCN).
