Precipitation of niobic acid from potassium niobate in sulphuric acid solution: A route to niobium oxide

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Graphical abstract illustrating the niobic acid precipitation process applied and the product obtained. Abstract This study investigates the precipitation of niobic acid (Nb2O5.nH2O) from potassium niobate solution with addition of sulphuric acid, and its subsequent thermal conversion into niobium oxide (Nb2O5). Thermodynamic modelling with PHREEQC and

Crystal Growth and Dielectric Study of the Niobate Series K3Sr2RNb10O30 (R = Lanthanide) of Tungsten Bronze Structure

open access: yesEurasian Chemico-Technological Journal, 2009
Fibre single crystals of K3Sr2RNb10O30 (R = La, Nd, Eu, Gd, Sm) have been successfully grown using the μ-pulling down method. Single crystal X-ray diffraction technique has confirmed that all isolated compounds crystallize with the tetragonal tungsten ...

Topology‐Oriented Crystalline Architectures of Metal Oxides for Advanced Electrocatalytic Water Splitting

open access: yescScience, Volume 2, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Electrocatalytic water splitting remains a cornerstone strategy for sustainable hydrogen production; however, its overall efficiency is restricted by the sluggish oxygen evolution reaction. Metal oxides have emerged as highly promising catalysts owing to their adaptable electronic structures, high chemical stability, and abundant redox‐active ...

Boosting Photo‐Pyroelectric Effect via Tunable Polarization and Interfacial Defect Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 25, 4 May 2026.
This study reports Ba(Ti0.85Zr0.15)O3 nanocatalysts with enhanced polarization and oxygen‐vacancy‐rich interfaces for efficient NIR‐II photo‐pyroelectric therapy. Zr doping boosts the pyroelectric coefficient and accelerates polarization switching, while oxygen vacancies improve photothermal conversion and surface reactivity.
