Mite Infestation Induces a Moderate Oxidative Stress in Short-Term Soybean Exposure [PDF]

open access: yesPlants
Phytophagous mites are herbivores that feed on various economically important plants, such as soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merril]. Thus, our objective is to evaluate the oxidative stress stage of soybean plants infested by Tetranychus ludeni Zacher ...

Impact of prey species, host plant, and predator sex on the functional response of Orius strigicollis [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
Tetranychus ludeni and Frankliniella intonsa are voracious and economically important pests of crops. Orius strigicollis is a promising biocontrol agent for managing these pests, but effective integrated pest management (IPM) requires understanding ...

Biologia e exigências térmicas do ácaro-vermelho (Tetranychus ludeni Zacher) em folhas de algodoeiro [PDF]

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira, 2002

Behavior and development of Tetranychus ludeni Zacher, 1913 (Acari: Tetranychidae) and physiological stress in genetically modified cotton expressing Cry1F and Cry1Ac proteins [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology, 2020
Genetically modified plants are one of the tactics used in integrated pest management - IPM. There is great concern about the impact of these plants on non-target organisms.

The complete mitochondrial genomes of six species of Tetranychus provide insights into the phylogeny and evolution of spider mites. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Many spider mites belonging to the genus Tetranychus are of agronomical importance. With limited morphological characters, Tetranychus mites are usually identified by a combination of morphological characteristics and molecular diagnostics.

Aspectos biológicos de Tetranychus ludeni Zacher, 1913 (Acari: Tetranychidae) alimentados com folhas de batata-doce pulverizadas com o 2,4-D

open access: yesArquivos do Instituto Biológico, 2018
RESUMO: Batata-doce [Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.] apresenta grande versatilidade de usos no Brasil. Com a ampliação das áreas de cultivo, essa espécie estará sujeita à contaminação por herbicidas.

Genetic and phenotypic variation between Tetranychus ludeni populations from Benelux

open access: yes
Abstract The occurrence of the bean spider mite, Tetranychus ludeni , in The Netherlands and Belgium is reported here for the first time. Mite populations were collected from the field and established in the laboratory.

Predator- and killed prey-induced fears bear significant cost to an invasive spider mite: Implications in pest management. [PDF]

open access: yesPest Manag Sci, 2022
Findings on the impact of predator‐ and killed prey‐induced fears on an important invasive pest, Tetranychus ludeni, help develop new materials and methods for controlling spider mite pests. Cues from predators and killed prey shorten female longevity by a quarter and reproductive fitness by a third, significantly reducing population growth.

Commodity risk assessment of Malus domestica plants from Bosnia and Herzegovina. [PDF]

open access: yesEFSA J, 2023
Abstract The European Commission requested the EFSA Panel on Plant Health to prepare and deliver risk assessments for commodities listed in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2019 as ‘High‐risk plants, plant products and other objects’. This Scientific Opinion covers plant health risks posed by bare root plants of Malus domestica grafted on ...
