Journal of Crystal Growth, 1980 Abstract The growth mechanism of tetraoxane whiskers is investigated. The defect arrangement in the crystal is examined by X-ray topography. Whiskers can grow in the absence of any axia 1 dislocations. The nature of the crystal-solution interfaces is discussed.
