Unlocking Terahertz Steganography: Authentication of Hidden Images in Flexible Media

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Hidden information in multilayered devices, such as steganographic portraits, is detected and authenticated using reflection‐mode terahertz time‐domain imaging. Image reconstruction relies on a dedicated figure‐of‐merit obtained by integrating the signal intensity over the time‐window associated with the reflection from the metallic mirror backing the ...

Microscale 3D‐Printed Digital Strain Switches for Embedded Mechanical Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Microscale 3D‐printed strain switches on flexible films convert deformation into native digital signals at geometry defined thresholds. A closed form model predicts switching from 3000 to 15 000 microstrain and is validated across 110 devices. Reliable ohmic closure and strain activated AND, OR, and XOR logic point toward low‐power mechanical ...

Spatial Stiffness Programming in Single‐Filament Material Extrusion Through Data‐Driven Thermal Foaming

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Single‐filament material extrusion enables spatial stiffness programming through locally controlled thermal foaming of TPU. A data‐driven G‐code framework tunes porosity from 15.7% to 40.7% and hardness from 90 to 63 Shore A within and across layers. Monolithic hands and soft actuators consequently achieve distinct programmed motions without material ...

Adversarial Generation and Encoding of Nested Texts

open access: yesCoRR, 2019
In this paper we propose a new language model called AGENT, which stands for Adversarial Generation and Encoding of Nested Texts. AGENT is designed for encoding, generating and refining documents that consist of a long and coherent text, such as an entire book, provided they are hierarchically annotated (nested). i.e. divided into sentences, paragraphs

Coherent Absorption Reveals Colors Hidden in a Grey Fabry–Pérot Cavity

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A dielectric thin film shows colors depending on its thickness; this effect can be used to encode information normally accessible through single‐beam spectroscopy. We developed a method to conceal this kind of information, based on coating the dielectric with a matched conductor, that suppresses the color‐bearing thin‐film resonances.

Scalable Task Planning via Large Language Models and Structured World Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work efficiently combines graph‐based world representations with the commonsense knowledge in Large Language Models to enhance planning techniques for the large‐scale environments that modern robots will need to face. Planning methods often struggle with computational intractability when solving task‐level problems in large‐scale environments ...

Bit-Layers Text Encoding for Efficient Text Processing.

open access: yes, 2020
Textual data still remains the main format for storing information, justifying why text processing is among the most relevant topics in computer science. However, despite capability to store information is growing fast, the amount and complexity of textual data grows faster than storage capacities.
