Gigi tiruan sebagian lepasan sebagai benda asing dalam trakea (Removable partial denture as foreign body in trachea)

open access: yesDental Journal, 2005
Foreign bodies in the trachea are not uncommon. Usually the patients come with dyspnea and a history of having aspirate something. This is an emergency case and needs extraction of the foreign body via bronchoscopy with general anesthesia as soon as ...

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

A Study on Methods for Parsing Architectural Multi-Modal Data and Extracting Modeling Parameters

open access: yesBuildings
To address information isolation and incomplete parameter extraction among multi-modal data (e.g., drawings, text, and tables) in the operation and maintenance stage of buildings, this paper proposes a multi-modal data parsing, automatic parameter ...

Small RNA pathways in mammalian oocytes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Three distinct small RNA pathways operate in mammalian oocytes: RNAi interference (RNAi), the microRNA (miRNA) pathway, and the PIWI‐associated RNA (piRNA) pathway. These pathways use small RNAs to guide sequence‐specific repression and contribute to oocyte biology by targeting genes and mobile elements or appear insignificant since different ...

MagmaFlow: A desktop platform for artificial intelligence‐driven expression analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
MagmaFlow is a free, no‐code platform for gene expression analysis. It generates interactive volcano plots, links genes to literature, pathways, and diseases, prioritizes candidates using millions of publications, identifies affected biological processes, builds network diagrams, and exports publication‐ready figures and reports for macOS and Windows ...

Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.

Extraction of metadata from solar disk H-alpha observations at Sacramento Peak Observatory

open access: yesScientific Data
We present metadata (date and time of observations) extracted from the digitized (scanned) photographic images of solar disk observations in neutral hydrogen Hα spectral line made at the U.S. National Solar Observatory at Sacramento Peak during 1966–2002.

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Touching Component Extraction and Separation in Arabic Manuscripts

open access: yesELCVIA Electronic Letters on Computer Vision and Image Analysis
This paper addresses the problem of touching characters (TC) extraction and separation in Arabic manuscripts. It proposes a recognition based method to separate them and join each component piece to its corresponding word.
