Quantitative Stain Mapping in X‐Ray Virtual Histology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Virtual histology promises 3D tissue examination without physical sectioning, yet has lacked the tissue‐specificity of conventional pathology. This work demonstrates the first quantitative three‐dimensional stain mapping at histologically relevant resolution, separating contrast agent from tissue to reveal cellular features such as nuclei. The approach

21st-century scholarship and Wikipedia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Wikipedia, the world’s fifth most-used Web site, is a good illustration of the growing credibility of online resources. In his article in Ariadne earlier this year, “Wikipedia: Reflections on Use and Academic Acceptance”, Brian Whalley described the ...

Neural Fields for Highly Accelerated 2D Cine Phase Contrast MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT 2D cine phase contrast (CPC) MRI provides quantitative information on blood velocity and flow within the human vasculature. However, data acquisition is time‐consuming, motivating the reconstruction of the velocity field from undersampled measurements to reduce scan times. In this work, neural fields are proposed as a continuous spatiotemporal

The conceptualisation of morality in Judaism

open access: yesVerbum et Ecclesia
This article dealt with the irony that confronts any investigation into the conceptualisation of morality in Judaism: much of contemporary scholarship promotes the Strong Dependence Theory where God is considered the prime source of morality − yet an ...

When the Trumpet Call is Unclear: A Rhetorical Analysis of the Speech That Launched the Jesus Seminar [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Since the Jesus Seminar has become almost iconic in religious media coverage, it merits academic scrutiny. This article focuses on the Seminar\u27s inaugural address given by founder Robert Funk on March 21, 1985, at the Pacific School of Religion in ...

MicrobeDiscover: A Knowledge Graph–Enabled AI Framework for Identifying Microbes for Inorganic Nanomaterial Biosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbial synthesis of nanomaterials (NMs) is eco‐friendly, but the screening of microorganisms is limited by inefficient traditional methods (currently only involving∽400 microorganisms/90 NMs). We propose AI framework MicrobeDiscover, integrating a knowledge graph of microbe‐NM interactions.

Mechanism of Solid Solution‐Driven Texture Induced by Ag Doping in YBCO Superconductor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ag‐doped YBCO with a designed concentration gradient is produced by dual‐material co‐extrusion and freeze‐drying. During annealing, Ag+ ions diffuse into Y123, substituting for Cu(1) and inducing c‐axis relaxation. This leads to the formation of [001]‐oriented YBCAO, creating a coherent interface that templates the textured growth of Y123. Consequently,

PAIR: Reconstructing Single‐Cell Open‐Chromatin Landscapes for Transcription Factor Regulome Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
scATAC‐seq analysis is often constrained by limited sequencing depth, extreme sparsity, and pervasive technical missingness. PAIR is a probabilistic framework that restores scATAC‐seq accessibility profiles by directly modeling the native cell–peak bipartite structure of chromatin accessibility.

Take-ings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The word property had many meanings in 1789, as it does today, and a critical aspect of the ongoing debate about the meaning of the Fifth Amendment\u27s Takings Clause has centered on how the word should be read in the context of the Clause. Property has
