Texture evolution of “Amaretti” cookies during storage [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Food Research and Technology, 2005
The results of a study on texture evolution during 35 days of storage of “amaretti”, a typical Italian cookie, packaged in two different ways are reported. Amaretti cookies were wrapped in polyvinylchloride (PVC) film or aluminium foil (ALL), to simulate two different permeability conditions and stored at controlled temperature and humidity.

Mechanical Behavior and Microstructure Evolution during High-Temperature Tensile Deformation of MnE21 Magnesium Alloy

open access: yesMetals, 2022
In this study, tensile tests for magnesium–manganese rare earth alloy (MnE21) were conducted with a WDW-300 high-temperature universal testing machine at different temperatures (300 °C~500 °C) and strain rates (1 × 10−4s−1~1 × 10−1s−1).

Crystallization by Amorphous Particle Attachment: On the Evolution of Texture [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, 2021
AbstractCrystallization by particle attachment (CPA) is a gradual process where each step has its own thermodynamic and kinetic constrains defining a unique pathway of crystal growth. An important example is biomineralization of calcium carbonate through amorphous precursors that are morphed into shapes and textural patterns that cannot be envisioned ...
