Experiment and Crystal Plasticity Simulation of Forming Limit of Quenching Partitioning Steel
Quenching-partitioning (QP) steel combines ultrahigh strength with good ductility due to the martensitic transformation during plastic deformation. However, the formability of the QP1180 steel remains unclear.

Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

Modeling of evolving textures using granulometries
This chapter describes a statistical approach to classification of dynamic texture images, called parallel evolution functions (PEFs). Traditional classification methods predict texture class membership using comparisons with a finite set of predefined ...

Texture Evolution During Grain Growth of Aluminum Films
Aluminum films 1pm in thickness are deposited by sputtering and by partially ionized beam (PIB) deposition. In the as-deposited condition, the sputtered film has a weak texture while the PIB film has a very strong {111} fiber texture.

Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

Role of Grain Boundary Sliding in Texture Evolution for Nanoplasticity
International audienceA new crystal plasticity model is presented to account for the effect of grain boundary sliding (GBS) on texture evolution during large plastic deformation of nanocrystalline materials. In the model, 12 grain boundaries are assigned
