Microstructure and texture evolution of pure molybdenum during hot deformation
Materials Characterization, 2020Microstructure and texture evolution of pure molybdenum prepared by powder metallurgy during the thermal mechanical processing were studied. Uniaxial compression tests were carried out on Gleeble-1500 thermal mechanical simulator in range of temperature (

Recrystallization texture evolution in Ni3Al
Acta Materialia, 1998The recrystallization texture development during annealing of cold rolled Ni{sub 3}Al polycrystals and single crystals was investigated. The recrystallization texture in single crystals, regardless whether boron-free or boron-doped, comprised all eight 35{degree} rotations of the single component deformation texture (close to the brass orientation ...

A Texture Evolution Study Using the Texture Component Crystal Plasticity FEM
Materials Science Forum, 2005Crystal plasticity FEM simulations of plane strain compression were performed. The Texture Component Crystal Plasticity-FEM was used for the texture mapping. Two different starting textures (random and hot rolling texture) were studied using four different FE meshes and two different sets of boundary conditions.

The texture evolution and the recrystallization behavior during the hot-rolling deformation were investigated in a hot-rolled Ti-7333 alloy. The texture of the rolled Ti-7333 mainly consists of the α-fiber component and a weak cubic component, and the ...

Evolution of crystallographic texture in thin wires
Journal of Applied Crystallography, 1992An X-ray diffraction procedure has been developed to measure accurately the textures of thin wires so that the texture variation across the wire radius may be obtained. Since X-rays penetrate no further than the surface of most metals, X-ray examination can be considered to be superficial for large wires but by thinning the wire it is possible to ...

The evolution of recrystallization textures from deformation textures
Scripta Metallurgica et Materialia, 1995Abstract A model for the evolution of recrystallization texture has been suggested. In the model, the most important driving force for recrystallization is assumed to be the stored energy due to dislocations whose arrangement is dependent on the deformation texture, which in turn gives rise to the absolute maximum principal stress direction.

Texture Evolution during Zinc Electrodeposition
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2015This talk investigates the impact of additives and ionic liquids on the stability of zinc interfaces by measuring the temporal evolution of the surface roughness. Experiments are designed to quantify the morphological evolution during charge and discharge cycles in battery electrolytes.
