Texture evolution of Mg during high-pressure torsion

Journal of Materials Science, 2008
Polycrystalline magnesium of 99.8 wt.% purity was subjected to high-pressure torsion (HPT) at room temperature. A special technique was developed in order to enable HPT of Mg up to very high shear strains of 115 and hydrostatic pressures of 4 GPa. The texture development during HPT was investigated by systematic X-ray texture measurements.

Dynamic recrystallization and texture evolution of Ti-22Al-25Nb alloy during plane-strain compression

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2018
To investigate the dynamic recrystallization (DRX) mechanism and texture evolution of Ti-22Al-25Nb alloy during the thermal mechanical processing, plane-strain compression tests were carried out on Gleeble-3500 thermo-mechanical simulator with various ...

Recrystallization Texture Evolution in HSLA Steel

2018
The role of ferrite and pearlite constituent phases on the recrystallization texture of an HSLA steel is addressed. For the purpose of monitoring the microstructure and texture evolution, two different starting hot bands obtained after hot rolling above and below the Tnr are considered.

The Textural Evolution of Limestone Calcines

1970
A pure limestone and Iceland spar were shock calcined at several constant temperatures in the range 750 to 1300 C in a study of the pore structure of the calcines. The calcines were examined with a scanning electron microscope to follow the development of the pore structure and to correlate changes in the pores and in the related surface area with the ...

Textural and mineralogical evolution of migmatites

Geological Society, London, Special Publications, 1979
Summary Textures and muscovite compositions in regional migmatites from the Central Highlands of Scotland are compared with those of the Huntly-Porsoy area, where early retrograde muscovite retains compositions appropriate to the sillimanite-potash feldspar zone.

Evolution of recrystallisation textures from cold rolling textures in interstitial free steel

Materials Science and Technology, 1997
AbstractThe development of the cold rolling and recrystallisation textures in Ti-Nb bearing interstitial free (IF) steel was investigated, with the aid of orientation distribution function (ODF) analysis, for various processing parameters. The texture change during annealing was explained by using a model in which the absolute maximum principal stress ...

Texture Evolution in Cu Films and Lines

MRS Proceedings, 2007
ABSTRACTGrain growth in polycrystalline films is controlled by the energetics of the surface, interface and grain boundaries as well as strain energy. The unique character of damascene lines fabricated from electroplated Cu films introduces the additional considerations of bath chemistry and geometric constraints.
