Texture evolution in adsorbed monoatomic layers

Physica E: Low-dimensional Systems and Nanostructures, 2004
Abstract The evolution of a monoatomic layer, deposited on a substrate, is described by a dynamical model of the reaction-diffusion type. This model takes into account the possible coexistence of two types of gains with different orientations with respect to the substrate. It combines reaction (adsorption and desorption) and nonlinear diffusion terms,

Texture Evolution in Al(Cu) Interconnect Materials

MRS Proceedings, 2001
ABSTRACTAn investigation of the microstructural evolution of Al(Cu) thin films deposited on a variety of interlevel dielectric (ILD) layers was performed. A combination of X-ray texture measurements and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was employed to link the texture behavior of the as-deposited Al(Cu) films at different thicknesses to the observed ...

Patch-based texture synthesis using differential evolution

2017 8th International Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies (ICCCNT), 2017
This paper presents a novel algorithm for patch-based texture synthesis. This method surpasses the conventional texture synthesis method with evolutionary algorithm. Patch-based texture synthesis is to enlarge the texture image by quilting the small patches together in a raster scan manner by applying some preliminary processes.

Texture Evolution in Aluminum during Continuous Recrystallization

Materials Science Forum, 1998
Recent studies have shown that continuous recrystallization in nominally pure aluminum is characterised by a very fine grain sized (1-2 μm) microstructure and the texture components of as-deformed state remained unchanged until after secondary recrystallization takes place.

Self-Consistent Modeling of Texture Evolution

2009
Abstract Self-consistent models are a particular class of models in continuum micromechanics, that is, the field concerned with making predictions of the properties and evolution of aggregates whose single-crystal deformation behavior is known. This article provides information on the measurement and representation of textures as well as

Texture Evolution During Thin Film Deposition

2005
The modeling of materials processing intrinsically spans multiple scales, in terms of both space and time. The modeling of thin film deposition, together with the accompanying texture evolution, spans 15 orders of magnitude in time, from fundamental atomic vibration period of 10−13 s to deposition duration of 102 s.
