The Dynamics of Gender Norms and Fertility Decline

open access: yesInternational Economic Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper models fertility as the outcome of gender‐biased technological progress interacting with endogenous social norms governing childcare. When rising female wages outpace norm adjustment, the inherited norm makes reallocating childcare toward fathers costly, so mothers bear a disproportionate burden and the shadow price of children ...

Do Environmentalists Forgo Parenthood? A Life Course Perspective on Fertility Expectations and Behaviors in the UK

open access: yesJournal of Marriage and Family, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To assess whether environmental concerns are associated with fertility expectations and behaviors across the reproductive life course. Background Whether individuals consider climate change in their reproductive decisions is an emerging area of research.

A Tale of Two Choices: Son Preference and Reproductive Outcomes in Uzbekistan

open access: yesReview of Development Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this study, we use data from the recent round of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) conducted between 2021 and 2022 to estimate the effect of son preference on reproductive behavior in Uzbekistan. We find strong evidence for differential stopping and spacing behavior among Uzbek women.

Dimensional and geometric parameters of microstructure models for thick resistive films

open access: yesТехнологія та конструювання в електронній апаратурі, 2002
The similarities and differences in the dimensional and geometric parameters of microstructure models for silver-palladium thick-film resistors (TFRs) are analyzed. For the first time, using the structural model of metallic clusters and the cluster model

Effects of Foreign Aid on Asia–Pacific Total Fertility Rates

open access: yesAsia &the Pacific Policy Studies, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2027.
ABSTRACT Amid persistently declining and uneven fertility trends across the Asia–Pacific, whether foreign aid actively shapes regional fertility behaviour remains an open empirical question. This study investigates the net effects of sector‐specific foreign aid on total fertility rates (TFRs) across 35 developing Asia–Pacific countries during 2002–2023.

Lachnospiraceae in the Food–Gut Axis: A Critical Review of Dietary Modulation, Immune Regulation, and Translational Barriers

open access: yesComprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Volume 25, Issue 6, November 2026.
ABSTRACT The interplay between diet, gut microbiota, and host immunity is central to food science. The Lachnospiraceae family ferments dietary fibers to produce short‐chain fatty acids (SCFAs), notably butyrate and propionate, with immunomodulatory potential. This critical review distinguishes established findings from hypotheses.

EphB1‐Mediated Transient Blood‐Brain Barrier Opening Facilitates a Ferritin‐Based Nanotherapeutic for Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 55, 5 October 2026.
We constructed a brain‐targeted AFn‐DPZ nanodrug delivery system and identified EphB1 as its receptor on the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). This system facilitates drug transport across the BBB and thereby ameliorates cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's disease.

Continuous‐Flow Microfluidic Synthesis Enhances C2+ Selectivity for Cu2O Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 55, 5 October 2026.
Microfluidic devices are used to prepare Cu2O nanoparticles under laminar flow conditions, which exhibit enhanced selectivity in the CO2‐to‐C2+ reaction due to their nanoporosity and high defect concentration. Cu2O prepared using standard solution methods displays decreased CO2‐to‐C2+ selectivity due to the absence of similar properties. Altogether, we
